Macworld Conference and Expo

My experience to the circus Macwold

I have travel the half way around the world, stood in line monday, for 2 hour to get a badge for this Apple Keynote.
Got up ad stood from 6 am, in line and at about 9.30 am the door was closed right in front of me and I was the next to go in, with the word no more room.
I stood there until about 11 am before the door again was opened.
I can tell you all, that I feel pist on and being taken by the nose of incompetent people by MacWold.
I’m sure that was the last time I visited this kind of bullshit.
Why on earth do they sell so manny ticket for an arrangement that don’t have this capacity? Why do people that stood after me I line not have the right to now what was going on?
I feel I shout have my money bag from Macwold and also for my travel over here.

I got in line at 4:45 am and barely made it in myself. In fact the Keynote address had already started! This was the worst experience I have ever had getting in to see the Keynote. Macworld is experiencing growing pains and the Keynote should be moved back to the South hall, where the room is larger and can hold more people.

In fact, having the conference rooms and other exhibitors in the West hall just makes no sense! Everyone had to keep walking outside and crossing the streets, compared to just walking inside and under the street over to the North hall. A much easier trip. What is Macworld thinking with this West hall?

Bad, Bad, Bad!

I am sorry you had a bad experience. I am very thankful for the information that was provided by previous attendees and posted on this site. Because of that, I arrived at 3:30am and was able to enter the keynote and grab a seat before it began.

On the website for the MacWorld Expo, it does state at http://macworldexpo.com/faq-attendee#keynote :

Is the Keynote open to anyone?

The Keynote is open to Platinum Pass, Super Pass, MacIT, Users, Power Tools, Market Symposiums, and Hands-on MacLabs attendees ONLY. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis except for Platinum Pass and Super Pass attendees-who have access to priority Keynote and Feature Presentation seating.

I am sorry that you weren't aware of this. I am very glad I did my homework and I have to say it was well worth the 5 1/2 hour wait in line.
