"There's Something in the Air" Apple Banners at Moscone

So, my prediction is the scientists at the Apple Labs have created a new virus, that when released into the air we all breath, will make our bodies deform and start to grow little white buds in our ears with a small multi-touch pad on our wrists, so we no longer need to buy an iPhone or iPod as they are now part of our bodies. Built in iPod/iPhone for everyone! We only have to pay Apple $99 a year for unlimited media.

iPhone & iPod Nano loaded and ready for SteveNote Keynote!

So, are you planning on going to the Keynote? Are you one of the crazy ones that waits in line at 3AM? If you are, have you loaded your iPod with some good tunes and movies? Both my iPhone and iPod Nano have my special Macworld 2008 Playlist all ready to go and each has some movies loaded on them. Waiting in line at first is fun but after awhile, when the jabbering wears down, you need something to occupy your waiting. The iPod, with my geeky movies and music, will come in handy.

1 Year Old Macworld Snicker Bar Extreme found

So, I am going through my Powerbook case to clean things out from last macworld and what do I stumble upon, a 1 year old Snicker Bar Extreme that I forgot to eat. Darn it! hehehe. It is amazing how much stuff we consume and pack during our stay at Macworld and then we get home, all wiped out, and never empty out all the stuff we collect.

So, should I eat the Snicker Bar now? 8-)

How long is everyone staying at Macworld 08?

So, how long do you plan on attending Macworld this year? 1 day? Two? The whole week?

I will be there from Sunday afternoon until Friday sometime myself. A whole week of Mac fun.

Can't believe it is only days away. Problem is the week after and before I know it, I will be back home thinking about Macworld 09.

Time flies when you are having fun.

Knock on wood, the weather looks nice for Macworld!

So far it looks like Macworld week should be decent weather. 50s during the day and 40s at night. Last years SteveNote was rather cold and chilly waiting inline at 3AM. Still will be chilly but hopefully no rain to spoil the fun in the lines.

Anyone else staying at Grant Plaza Hotel on Grant Ave?

So, where are you bunking up for Macworld?

Anyone else here staying at Grant Plaza Hotel over on Grant Avenue? I have never stayed there before. Hoping I did not make too bad of choice. Best I could do for the money. Looks to be about a 10 minute walk.

Just curious if anyone knows about this neighborhood over on Grant Avenue.

Neighborhood that Macblast & YML Parties are in. Walkable? Taxi Tips??

So, I plan on going to the Macblast and YML Parties. The Macblast party is over near 7th street and the YML party is over near 11th Street at Slim's.

I would think the Macblast party is fairly close to the Moscone Center so that one is a hop, skip, and jump away. I am not super familiar with SF but would guess the 7th Street area for this party is in not too bad of place? But, how about the Slim's area over on 11th. I would guess that is way too far to walk. New Years Resolutions don't start until AFTER Macworld!

I am sure many of you have New Years resolutions that you made this year. I also bet many of you do not start them until AFTER Macworld <grin>. Like I need to shed some excess poundage so I no longer am pushing "maximum density", I need to drink less beer, I need to do less partying, I need to drink less wine, etc... etc.... Macworld Macblast Party

So, I have been going to Macworld for years and have never really went to any parties. It seems I go to conferences, then expo, then eat dinner, tinker around and go to bed for the next day.
