I have a Leopard that I would like to upgrade to a Snow Leopard. I have a HP CM2320nf
color laser printer. I understand that if I upgrade to a Snow Leopard my printer/ scanner/fax / copier will be incompatible. Any word on the upgraded HP Drivers
(to 64 bit. I believe)? I was told that they may be available by the January 1, 2010. Directly from HP? or from Apple? This is really a bummer as when I bought my Leopard in July 2010, I was forced to upgrade my relatively new HP 4 way at that
time to be compatible with your shift to the new chip. Now to have to replace
my new HP 4 way, that was released by HP only 9 months ago is totally
unreasonable. By the way, neither printer was the $200 model, one was $600 &
the other was $800 +. Do Apple and HP ever talk to each other?
I was just lucky that I did not upgrade - I mentioned to a friend I was upgrading
and he warned me about the problem. I contacted the store where I purchased
my Mac "Best Buy"(July 2009), they had never heard of the incompatibility I contacted the store where I purchased the HP Color Laser Printer CM 2320,
"Staples" , they too had never heard of the incompatibility! Apparently the only
printers current compatible with the Snow Leopard are about 1/2 of the Brothers
printers. I then had conversations with both Apple & HP they confirmed the above
but seemed to have no information about when it would be corrected (this took
place in early September 2009). Late last week I again spoke to Apple and was
told that they were hopeful the new drivers would be available by January 1,
2010. There is a "Mac Store" in Eugene, but they seemed the least informed
of all. The U of O Bookstore was at least aware of the problem, but had been
unable to get any prognosis. Interestingly enough last Friday I again stopped
at "Best Buy" and spoke to a staff person there who had never heard of the
problem! Guess what ...... He was selling Snow Leopards and HP 4 ways!
Well, I've learned some important do's and don'ts of blogging. So, I apologize for my oops. The device is not meant to be worn while walking down the street but instead is a low-tech personal media viewer for airplane/car trips, etc. Cheers and Happy New Year!
Hi John,
I was wondering, if you get a chance, if you would give my garage invented iPhone/iTouch personal media viewer a quick 1-10 rating. 1 being: it's the stupidest thing ever seen, 5 is: that's interesting and I'm interested to learn more and 10 is BINGO- I would give it a try if it was $39.99 at a Best Buy, Target or Radio Shack. I'd value an objective opinion other than my own or most of the people I know who already think I'm nuts. So don't worry about sending back a one. iLidz™ is not for everybody but it'll be fun to find out how many people do like the idea. Thanks! I'll be at Ecamm's booth #4629 hope to see you at Macworld!

Thanks for any help you can give.
